Business Rates – Retail Discount Scheme

The Government announced in the Budget on 29th October 2018 that it will provide a Business Rates Retail Discount scheme for occupied retail premises with a rateable value of less than £51,000 in each of the years 2019-20 and 2020-21.

If you are entitled to retail relief, you will receive a discount of one third of the bill.  This will be applied after any mandatory reliefs and other discretionary reliefs have been applied.
