Historic bridge to be revealed
Work is underway in Stockport town centre to reveal a historic bridge that has not been seen since 1937.
The 145 year old Lancashire Bridge near the junction of Warren Street, straddles the River Mersey as it passes through the Merseyway shopping centre.
The £1.6M Stockport Council project is expected to be completed in March with the original stone arched bridge being subject to a full refurbishment and visible via the creation of a new viewing area.
